Xtentus trading strategy has achieved remarkable success for its clients by adhering to four cornerstones that build a solid foundation for investing:
Diversification
Xtentus trades Futures, Forex, Stocks, CFD’s, Bonds, Exchange Traded Funds in many financial centers around the globe. It trades Bonds, stock indices and currencies as well as commodities such as crude oil, gold, wheat, coffee, cattle, cotton etc. The Xtentus trading system is able to choose from the above mentioned markets and is constantly on the lookout for attractive investment opportunities. Diversification (spreading of risk) is also achieved by a low correlation between the individual traded contracts or financial instruments.
Technical Analysis
Xtentus uses a self-developed, computerized trading system. The system uses a wide array of technical indicators to identify price patterns offering a high probability of success. Based on these price patterns, the system issues buy and sell orders.
Trend Following Strategies
The computer trading system is designed primarily to profit from price trends. The lifespan of these trends varies; some last for a few days, others for several months. The key to our success lies in limiting draw downs through the continual updating of stop orders. In this way, if a trend reverses, our loss can be limited; if a trend continues, profits are protected.
Money Management
Consistent risk management represents the most important element of Xtentus’ investment strategy. It limits initial risk per trade to a pre-determined maximum of a fixed percentage of the invested total assets. In addition, the system continuously screens volatility and accordingly adjusts portfolio exposure.
Every newly opened position is allocated a stop-loss-order that defines the parameters of the operating environment and sets a point at which the position will be closed. This stop-loss-order is continually and automatically controlled.
Priority is always given to capital maintenance rather than profit maximization with Xtentus. The system was designed to identify the returns of profitable long-term trends at an early stage.
